From the airport Wien-Schwechat there are several possibilities to get into the city. We suggest to take the S-Bahn S7 in direction “Floridsdorf” until Praterstern. From there you can take the tramway 5 directly to Spitalgasse/Währinger Straße, very close to where the Hotel Atlanta is located. For all that you only need a 2-zone-ticket which costs 4,20 EUR. You can get the ticket at the red ticket machines at the train state in the airport. Other options would include the CAT (City Airport Train) or the Vienna Airport Lines (Bus). Both are more expensive and also more complicated to use in order to get here. So don’t just stumble into the CAT only because all the ads at the airport suggest to do so. Instead, follow the green signs of the CAT until you find the green ticket machines and next to them are the red ones. There you can buy a “S-Bahn Ticket Airport-Vienna City” (see foto below).
